For fans looking for a sport with a kick, look no further than women’s soccer at Indiana State. With explosive speed, they grind grass and dirt under their cleats, taking this action-packed sport to a whole new level. The energy keeps fans on their feet, and the whole stadium erupts at every goal. In 2013, the Indiana State NCAA Division I women’s soccer team was on fire and finished second overall in the Missouri Valley Conference.
A historic landmark, construction on Memorial Stadium finished in 1934. It’s seen several updates over the years, such as modernized locker rooms and a mid-level Varsity Club that hosts pre-game and halftime festivities. Tailgating is permitted on the grounds outside of the stadium. It’s always alive and bumper-to-bumper during the annual Sycamore Homecoming Game.
Soccer games are free of charge unless otherwise specified. No outside food or drink and no coolers are allowed in the stadium. Cameras are acceptable but video recording may not always be. Parking is free! Call the box office at (877) ISU-TIXS (478-8497) or stop in Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
